REGULATIONS:
1. Any copies made MUST be on LEGAL-SIZED (8x14) paper.
2. Only ONE county per petition…every signature on a single petition MUST be
registered to vote in the SAME county.
3. They must print and sign with the name on their voter registration
card, usually their full, legal name.
4. Must-have info to sign petition:
a. Printed name
b. Signature
c. PHYSICAL address (NO PO BOXES)
5. Nice-to-have information (This info is on their voter registration card. But, if they
don’t know this info, they can sign the petition anyway…a volunteer will have to call
courthouses to find out this info):
a. Precinct
b. Congressional district
6. Use BLUE INK if possible.
7. You can give only 1 petition to anyone who wants to take one to get
signatures. If you do this:
a. They need a copy of the “Petition Regulations."
